About Life

Caring in Ireland since 1981.

Life was established in 1981 and is a voluntary, non-denominational organisation, offering counselling, care and support to women and men faced with a crisis pregnancy. There are four Life Centres in Ireland.
Life may be contacted in various ways:

  • telephoning the National Helpline number
  • by email
  • by Internet chat
  • by texting

Life believes in the uniqueness and value of human life from conception.

Life understands the distress and lack of support a woman may experience due to an unplanned pregnancy .

Life provides support for anyone including fathers and other family members experiencing problems during and after pregnancy.

Life is committed to providing a confidential and professional service of counselling, care and practical help for those who come to us.

Life counsellors will assist you to consider all your options and will give accurate information on any queries you may have.

Life recognises that people are responsible for their own decisions.

Life does not give contact details for abortion clinics nor does it give contact detauils for agencies that will provide this information.

Life staff and volunteers receive full training to enable them to serve clients without regard to race, income, nationality or religious affiliation.

All Life services are free and confidential.
